Act I : Prison of the Mind

A cold wind sweeps across the field as I arrive into this world All seems empty and defiled until a dark place appears before my eyes In the middle of the meadow a barricade holds the grounds The moonlight drapes the walls, rain echoes in it's halls An old building scarred by time sets the stage for tales to tell Inside are black halls filled with an air of hate and pain Lit by candlelight and moonrays that pierce the windows The darkest hall leads to a staircase into hell The basement door was sealed by countless locks A man inside looks into the mirror and stares at my soul The man steps forward and gives me a glare A deep dark voice speaks Do you remember who I am From inside his thoughts I see his history From inside my head I feel his misery A landscape forms around me as the scene unfolds Suddenly I fear what the prison of the mind may hold
