Dear Lord Do you hear me I’m desperate I’m in need I Got some things that’s on my chest And I’m having trouble tryna breathe I really think I need some answers And You’re the only one who got em You made the world we live in It’s only right to think you got us I wanna tell you that I’m thankful For the ways that you provide But I wanna know why give us life If we only livin it to die? Why you takin away our friends? Why you takin away our Moms? Why you takin away our fathers when they gotta raise our sons? It’s Confusion everyday My People dying left and right We down here fearing for our children It’s so hard to sleep at night Can’t find no moments of peace And The law just takes away our rights So we’re just in these streets Doing what we have to to survive Nobody sticks together It’s like all we know is to divide And when we feel this pressure We just pray up towards the sky Hoping things will change I just wanna wipe my mommaz eyes Thinking if I get to fame Than it could probably change our lives Lord I’m really losing faith I’ll do whatever for a sign I need to know you’re really with us Not just a thought that’s in my mind I wanna feel your presence I wanna feel you through the grind I wanna know you really got me When you decide that it’s my time I know they say don’t question you Just trust the way you move But I’m losing everyone I love So that’s a hard thing to do If it’s written how we go I wanna know how you choose How children dying before they parents This ain’t right I’m confused Only death is promised to us So I f we win we still lose Unless there really is a heaven That we can look forward to So if this is hell right here on Earth Than tell me what did we do? They gonna judge me for this prayer But I’m just speaking my truth Amen
