Imma start this off by saying this is closure for me And put it in a song cause my voice always cracks when we speak And it's so hard for me to tell you how you made me feel So imma let this world feel my pain so you can know i'm for real First let me apologize for the things I know that I've done Than imma forgive you for your shit cause I can no longer run From what i'm holding within cause if I do I won't win I gotta let this shit go so I can move on with my kid I forgive you for not being who you said you would be Even tho you told me that you loved me unconditionally Even tho you got me out here looking like a fool in these streets Even tho you fucked me up so bad that I got low self esteem I forgive you for those nights that you never came home And I forgive for those days that you made me feel alone And I forgive you those times that you pushed me to the side With all of your lies and all them painful tears that I cried I forgive you for not moving how you said you would move And I forgive you for not doing what you said you would do And I forgive you for these scars and these internal wounds Yo I forgive you even tho I didn't think that I could I forgive you for the stress that you caused on my life And I forgive you for the love lost through your ego and pride Yo I forgive you but it's not forgetful at all And just know it'll never be the same not at all like before Life just different now i'm seeing things clearly these days No more believing in the hype of your fraudulent ways And no more crying every night you making me feel like a clown No more thinking when I'm not there are u holding me down No more feeling like i will never be all that you need I'm done with that part of my life yo i'm finally free I'm moving on im leveling up i'm tryna get right with god Building a life without struggles taking my son to the top Real shit they say if you have someone there That stays through the bull shit and pain You never violate they trust and they gon always remain You keep em close to your heart and never take em in vain You a dummy yo the way you operate so funny tho Like how you expect to progress when you ain't willing to grow You gotta be grown about your shit And take the blame for your actions Stop hurting people for your own satisfaction You won't make it far in life until your honest with yourself I did those things to you cause I want you to know just how I felt When you played with my heart and put my trust on the line And you came around me acting fine Like to my pain you was blind You was fraudin' all the while making sure you was good You took my love for granted and thru it all I still stood By your side but not no more I'm done with that shit I'm not gullible like I was i'm no longer that chick I forgive you to the point that I no longer desire To fix what's broken with us two I'd rather let this shit ride out Yo I forgive you I swear I've learned so much from this pain I learned enough to know I don't deserve to feel all these ways Where I'm at in life I promise I'm a whole different me Grew enough to let you go now I can finally breathe I'm so proud of who I am and how far I've come I can love you from a distance I don't have to be dumb Yo I forgive you
