Early monday morning when Nylah woke up Wit a smile on her face and this feeling in her gut Like today would be good but her thoughts ran deep Than the tears fell down and reality struck See everyday was familiar with the last She'd awake feeling hopeful thinking she might get past What happened last night when she close her eyes And how even her faith couldn't silence her cries Her days started with her siblings and her mom Having a meal at the table with forgiveness in her heart Nobody peeped the pain but as time went on She pushed back the thoughts but the shit got hard She had a passion for art and design So she figured doing that would ease her mind But even when she picked up a brush or a pen She couldn't drown out all the darkness within Baby girl I know you're going through some things And I know there is nothing to be said That can take away all your pain But if you ever feel like your in this world alone Just remember God loves you And you gotta be strong so strong She had thoughts of committing suicide But she knew she couldn't leave all her loved ones behind Just the fact that those thoughts even cross her mind Let her know for sure that she was dying iniside Breaking apart losing her faith Couldn't fathom why she still had to look this man in his face Life's feeling like it's nothing but a huge disgrace Needing a way out knowing she gotta leave this place She knew she had a voice but no one to listen up And thought if she cried out who would really give a f*ck So now Being silent was the only thing she knew I mean he had her thinking no one would believe in her truth It's like what could she do who does she tell How could she prove no matter how she moved about it she'd lose And if she went to her mom about what he put her through The way that she was in love no telling who she would choose All the affection and the smiles and the roles that he played Had moms thinking he was a King she was stuck in her ways Blindsided by his charm damn he had her mad confused She put her trust in this fool she overlooked the abuse The signs were there and the tears done fell It was unrealistic to her mother she was under a spell Nylah had enough so her breaking point done hit She was in it alone she had to end this shit Baby girl I know you're going through some things And I know there is nothing to be said That can take away all your pain But if you ever feel like your in this world alone Just remember God loves you And you gotta be strong so strong She sat down on the side of her bed Shit that could never be undone was overclouding her head And deep inside there was a battle with her heart and her brain All she knew is that she never wanted to feel this again She reached under her pillow put her hand on the gun Nervous cause she heard him coming but what if he runs She lift her hand up and got a steady aim at the door And all you heard was a boom and his body hit the floor
