I'm staring at your painting of you and me, I can't believe The colors are just as bright as they were But you and I have faded away not by mistake Ohh I can't take it anymore,close the door Your soul was too perfect to be real Your heart was too broken to love me You were too far away to be near We closed our eyes and tried to paint our life together But now we are nothing more than memories on paper And then you realized that our lines and colors were so wrong I'm not the one to finish your painting of love I took my soul's colors and tried to chase your pain away By covering the blue in your heart I've tried so hard to see the order in this mess The mess that we've become We were too desperate to see Our wrong and distorted reality But we are forever perfect on this piece You closed your eyes and tried to paint our life together So we are forever captured on this paper And now I realize this sign of our love will never be wrong But my colors are not the ones that you're looking for Anymore I'm staring at your painting of you and me, I can't believe The colors are just as bright as they were
