I always believed if God really loved me Why would He send me to a place to cause me pain Now the day, I see Him face to face He told me that this was my choice to make If you don't want me I won't force you To be in my presence For eternity No one answered my questions about God Just yelled at me and called me a sinner They said repent but didn't say what it meant I never knew that I could be forgiven I made my decision by the life I was living You know, I wish that I could do it all again And He said Depart from me I never knew you Those seven words will cut right through you Now this burning fire's Colder than the ice Preacher said you'll go to Hell But no one told me how to tell The difference between wrong And right I never understood I ever had a choice Now it's too late No one can hear my voice
