I Doubt (Stripped Version)

Doubt The opposite of faith The stubborn wings that refuse to fly Because it doesn't know What the air feels like It seems unreasonable, doesn't it It tells you that you're next step Will not land you in a pothole Meanwhile two steps forward That pothole exists You know A while ago, my tea was doubt I would take it early in the morning To start my day Meanwhile Others would start their day with Prayers and faith to make sure it ends great But in truth, It made no sense to me I was young, engaged in other things But for God's word I had no energy You see I believed that your belief in heaven Clouded your judgement And mystified your thoughts So Can Someone tell me How can a man be born of clay How can an invisible being Turn night to day And more importantly Or more especially How can the mention of a name Cure the sick and raise the dead Huh I was fed up with all the stories of Great men freeing slaves And turning sticks to snakes Meanwhile when it was my turn To change the shame to praise You didn't see me So logically The next thing would be To settle with what the world Had to offer me Pleasure to pain, pain to pleasure. The pressures of living became hard To measure As they flowed like the oceans And came to me daily Like morning devotions So in essence I got tired of everything else I got tired of struggling Straining to keep up with trends And new cycles That served as guidelines To prepare you for a broken But normal lifestyle I began walking the same path I saw everyone walk on As it became larger and larger But in truth, this was a road i paved For myself As it became darker and darker Until I thought I was lost Then a whisper in me says Your lack of belief In that which is greater than you Has made you weak Don't be stuck in the meaningless cycle of what everyone wants to do What everyone wants to be I know we are all made in His image But a picture can also be taken in different angles so See different Be different Live different Because he has made you different A dwindling light began to form A sheltering gleam began to call The darkness I was once lost in now started to lose its opacity There was courage to conquer The resolve to be better The quest for inner peace Hope Nah It was much greater than that Instead of doubt There was now Faith
