In the sleepy mist Beyond my wind shield It's bumper to bumper all the way to Rio Rancho. I got a dreamy stare I'm changin' gears I'm tryin' not to stall my vehicle. I got my hands on the wheel I'm not makin' a big deal But some things strike a chord even when it's illogical. I'm outta town, drivin' around Goin' where the Sun goes down A man is on the radio, talkin' 'bout Roswell Where they landed from another world. I'm gettin' near Edgewood It's startin' to rain Storms are comin' in but from where it's questionable. It's crazy out there So much is unfair And the news just makes things disagreeable. It makes me think Like I've had a drink What's goin' on here that's so unreliable?
