Once couldn't breathe Just had this feeling time was up All up My heartbeat tight Give me the sight may I be justified No great escape Like old time movies When the damsel gets untied Just as the train storms by So many rage So many hated It's so strange A desperate race Planting our stakes In gilded charms And passing flames No fade away like old time movies where the cowboy shrinks toward dawn And the credits run Riding circles around the fray Oh how I hope I find a way To make sense of this orderless decay The valleys scream Bickering echos don't change anything And distant gleams Promise false comforts Bring a man to his knees No lucky break like childhood movies when your momma wakes you up And it was just a nightmare Our tracks vanish without a trace A thousand miles down a still life faded I can't tell What's real or fake Riding circles around the fray Oh how I hope we find away To make sense of this orderless decay Once couldn't breathe Just had this feeling time was up To no good One broken window the smallest cracks corrupted every structure It's a ghost town now My heartbeat tight And will tomorrow come Awash in suffering?
