Unneeded Things

Garage packed full can’t open the door stuff on the walls and ceiling / can’t even see the floor Barely open the door an old jet ski used once or twice large camping tent never camped in your life I hope the price was right tiny dirt bike, 3 sets of clubs. a porch net that swings don’t remember buying all these things did we buy all those things and when you’re gone folks will sift through stuff hold up old Barbies ask the seller how much working your life for china, silver & rings spending your money on unneeded things :// closet full of boots a treadmill with dust a mounted fish that sings a metal hammock with rust did we need all those things the attics full, shed and basement too where’d this stuff come from & what’s this ice cream maker do hey, there’s my Winnie the Poo and when you’re gone folks will sift through stuff hold up old Barbies ask the seller how much working your life for china, silver & rings spending your money on unneeded things and now that you’re gone thoughts of you return these things hold the memories with each penny we burned oh how the years have turned can’t trade this stuff in all warrantees run out my eyes start to water but I can’t throw them out I’ve tried, Lord knows I’ve tried, to throw it all out as the years wind down all this stuff in a pile some brings sadness but also some smiles think I’ll close the door, just out of view let the passing of time, increase their value….. think I’ll close the door, just out of view Can’t throw them out cause they remind me of you Remind me of you ***All these unneeded things are really not in the way they hold memories of you that will always stay and never fade away
