Next Year

Just once I'd like to feel That I know what's going on In this crazy world of ours I'd like some sense of clarity Perhaps that's too much to ask for I'm starting to realise That what others perceive as real is nowhere close To how I discern the world around me So I've got One more day Living in fear That you'll find me here Next year I test my patience every day I always want things right away The truth is I come on strong I have no filter and ramble on So I'll have Another day Living in fear That you'll find me in the same place Next year In scripture I find no hope In churches I find some peace If there is a higher power Then why won't they help me So I'll have A single day With a little less fear That you'll find me hanging around Next year
