I don't think they know that I'm not new to this I'm true to this Flip the script Open up my Bible I've been locking in World of sin Wanting me to be like them They don't wanna see me win Had to find my peace within that withholds things that come against Me and I've been thinking that I wanna change In a crowd of people want them seeing we are not the same I ain't chasing glory I'm just tryna lift up Jesus name If that come with fame I pray to God that he will keep me sane But I ain't never let it get to my head My demons they wanting me dead I told em I'm living instead They shocked that I said what I said Yeah Fill my cup until it overflows Living water flowing in me so I go for broke Basking in that ambiance Jesus been my confidant Said I can't do life alone That is not Jesus wants Had to put my pride aside Flesh on me it had to die Lately I've been tryna cry Hate I'm keeping that inside I've been asking questions tryna figure what is next for me Look what came from nothing faith it started size of mustard seed Growing up I saw the things that God could do when pruning you Never liked the pain but I see now it's one heck of a view As I'm writing this I'm in a season of uncertainty It's work for me I'm not used to this but he's been urging me To step in something new and be uncomfortable I hate the change That's more of a reason I should do it I can't run away This what it feels like When he has control over your life I'm seeking his plan let go of control I learned to be quiet in times of the storm But praying the loudest to reap what I sewed I broke out the mold Never bought lies that were sold I'm chasing the lamb not a goat I said it before but I'll never fold Slowly been taking my time I'm staying committed I've been on the grind No more living in dark got this light imma shine If God said it's for me then I know it's mine On me ascension so I gotta climb At times I may struggle but imma align with divine No more doing life alone That wasn't part of God's design forreal
