| Radojka Adžić (Serbian Cyrillic: Радојка Аџић; born 21 May 1976), better known as Dara Bubamara, is a Serbian singer from Novi Sad. From an early age she started appearing on popular televised variety shows and children's music festival, such as the Zmaj Children Games, where she took the first prize. Before pursuing a solo career, Dara had initially gained prominence in the early 90s as a member of Vojvodina based Dara Bubamara Show band, from which she got her stage name. Her debut solo album, Dosada, was released in 1995 under PGP-RTS.
Over the following years she has become one of the most popular Serbian pop-folk singers, with stand-out hits like: "Ja neću da ga vidim", "Polje jagoda", "Vero nevero", "Javite mi, javite" and "Zidovi". Her 2007 album, titled Dodirni me, was sold in 150,000 copies. To celebrate close to thirty years of career, in April 2018 Dara also held a concert in the Belgrade Arena.Adžić has a son (b. 2009) with former husband, Serbian-born French businessman, Milan Kesić. |
