Hard 2 Dream

City of dreams Yeah Uhh I used to dream with my eyes wide open now I only dream at night Sleep walking through life my reality is more like a nightmare So use to living in poverty that I'm not scared being content is my biggest fear Not reaching my full potential got me not feeling special Loosing my connection with the most high as time goes by doubts start to creep in Faith start to leave and mistakes start repeat and Loose everything I love everything happens for a reason Please explain that reason then when it's gone be my season then I know I'm blessed to be here but lately I aint been feeling that way Tired of putting fake smiles on my face acting like everything's ok Tired of hearing you got to pray when new shit happens everyday feeling out of place I just want to run away blame myself for the time I waste Fake smile on my face deep down feeling like a disgrace Trying to find my place because I can't escape this maze Staring in space maybe I should retrace my steps Ask for some help listen and accept Advice ask questions in depth be real with myself Cause lying do not help grasp the concept I can't do it by myself My reality is pain I'm loosing more than I gain I'm trying not to complain but when is it going to change It's like I'm stuck in a maze and it's starting not to faze me anymore Cause at night when I close my eyes and try to catch a glimps of living a better life My vision get blurry and it's killing me inside Cause that's when I I notice it's getting harder to dream The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty that dreams Not under achieving becoming a daily routine Comparing yourself to your peers is starting to f*ck with self esteem Grass not green on the other side not a surprise Trying to read through the lines when your eyes telling you lies And your heart don't know how to feel and your body language is loud More vulnerable than ever trying to keep it all together Forgetting your only human take yourself off the pedestal It's ok to strive to be perfect mistakes will surface We're all imperfect we're here for a purpose to be unique You're a masterpiece in the making what you think is who you are You control your greatness the sky is the limit embrace it Whatever you want go take it no time for thinking basic The world is yours you're amazing but you got to believe it's your season Sequenced a certain way for a reason so if you fall it teach you to be a winner don't be bitter switch that I to a e make it better My reality is pain I'm loosing more than I gain I'm trying not to complain but when is it going to change It's like I'm stuck in a maze and it's starting not to faze me anymore Cause at night when I close my eyes and try to catch a glimps of living a better life My vision get blurry and it's killing me inside Cause that's when I I notice it's getting harder to dream In the city of dreams It's getting harder to dream In the city of dreams
