Tower of Babel

I've been building for long long time I'm so high I am petrified I'm hoping one day I can reach up to the sky Then suddenly you reached your hand right out And it all came crashing down And as I'm falling I can hear the sound I'm desperate and confused Not understanding you Why you broke everything down Like the tower of babel Was it always designed to fall Or maybe we just all went wrong It's like your speaking foreign now Like the tower of babel The sayings you should work smart not hard But its diffrent when your wallets starved And you can barely afford to pay the car I asked for you to come and lead the way Who knew youd lead me to my darkest day And I can promise in three days I'll be okay Going through life trying to put out the fires Worry about that check engine and tires Come to my show I am passing out flyers But nobody came and now I am just tired Rise in the east and its sets in the west One day my children will put me to rest But I can promise that we'll meet again I'm desperate and confused Not understanding you Why you broke everything down Like the tower of babel Was it always designed to fall Or maybe we just all went wrong It's like your speaking foreign now Like the tower of babel I said I dont want to flow away I really need to stay My heart was yours and maybe was misplaced I want to reach you again
