I've been around the bend I've been there now and then And it's no human, I know To be complacent with A life that need to unfold Afraid to stand out there The storms are hard to bear And it may seem so unfair But there is just one truth That everything starts with You Even when I'm lost and I have nowhere to go You find me every time and invite me back home Guiding the stars in the universe to my eyes Every drop of rain that can fall to the earth Every bit of light that you speak to the words Breathes the life of the universe in my sky Even though it's not worthwhile Why do I ever smile Who wants to look at my face Even just a little taste of joy can take me away Like the fall, can't have it all, things get hard Like the spring, You can bring new life to all Continuously loving me when I call If I can stand, then why do I choose to sit To repeat everything, I'd do it again I want to change, but I'm not the man that you know My heart can find everything good in my life My head can see reality sharp as a knife As if the ones I love don't need me anymore I want to stay but I've got to find another way I can't continue being like this everyday I can't afford this sadness that lays in my wake But God's alive, He can feel what I can feel With His love will I never have to conceal Even when life is driving on square wheels
