Father's Sowing Chaos I looked up Forehead full of perspiration I know that look in his eyes Red from held back tears and beer Yet a creature of habit with soothing words That could heal sorrows And console a son or impressionable boy like me So I listened Like a soldier rallying for battle Taking every word to death with me Especially the lies Packed in me as the perfect weaponry Cause I believe that this was the man he equipped me to be Him not knowing that even though I didn't understand it at all It was all within me subconsciously And my toxicity, ego, loyalty All sealed in his forehead kiss I was trained to be amiss and a mess Led into war with the unspoken swore Blood spewing out from my sword I, I, I mean this was just another day at the park Shooting hoops till the night falls Left alone like the moon To now shine light on others While not even being fully full Father's sowing Order As grown kids we think to ourselves That a mother is supposed to pick A man that can love her And also be someone that we can look up to Then from their selection we think Why oh why did she choose them They didn't foster a foundation of fundamental values Nor did they have the fun or funds to support us In the sunny or the rainy days It leaves us as grown kids flustered And in search for concrete answers I hope we all find them Or else we may be repeating the same detriments That we despise
