I Am Freedom Chaos I once lived with a bully That would judge me in the dawn As I looked into my morning mirror And down me in the dusk As I cried about the truth of what it said that morning You're fat and saggy What's that Cellulite and stretch marks you wear just right Why wear that A tight dress on that loose body Those lips and those hips You tried it, huh Booty shorts on that booty Not cute You should crop yourself out of that crop top Failed I was picked on by the one closest to me And they knew me My everything What was I hiding Who knows But it'll all be exposed when you take off your clothes Your uncomfortable nature And your lack of love for yourself Why you hide insecurities in those hunched shoulders Why are you hiding I know what's there Acne with that makeup caked up Covering up past breakups Or maybe a Barbie doll face Will make up for those A-cups A cup of hard liquor and some shots And you're all we've talked about Not the life of the party Nor a life after the party ends But after the after party is where your life begins So you drink and get drunk To always feel that feeling When you feel you ain't fitting One long night Too drunk Now a scene replaying Over and over again Look at me It took me face down unconscious in forms of humility Taking it To now having my head held high Not taking shit From no one I look at that same morning mirror different Eyes full of admiration Hey, my little belly rolls Like Swiss rolls to a sweet tooth This jojoba and tea tree Goes grand with my 4C These full lips destined to consume everything deemed unfit So before you laugh at it Ask yourself Are you even equipped These stretch marks like fault lines Demonstrating growth Now come Fall upon them and kiss the earth These wide hips like watermelon come Clench your thirst and fill your belly in them I once lived with a bully I now live with a comforter And remain in harmony I changed my address Switched numbers And now I am free From the bully I used to live with Which that bully Was me I Am Freedom Order Self-love and sufficiency Is usually confronted through trauma first Then accessed By acceptance of what has been given to you outside of your control We can be our own harshest hate mail received at times But the power lies within you to create a more tasteful world around you And within your mind Your power lies within your knowledge of how to use them Knowledge without application Is like air without humidity Love yourself And don't change your morning mirror Change your mind
