Living in slow motion Always reaching for some mental paradise Lately these dreams of what's beyond a Darkening horizon feed like parasites They're happy sucking the life from my eyes Trapped inside The room is crumbling No chance these walls last I rest my head down hoping the ends of The rope are tied up as time slips past I lift my head and release from the floor Appears to me clear is the Door Fear, leeching a life of All that is real Subject to time's Unyielding steel Choose or be chosen to Slip through my hands Fast as I can I reach for the Door Haunted by hunger that I just can't shake I open the door with the hopes of escaping My hatred, my hang ups, my human disease I run through the next or get caught in between The Door The Door The Door Dissolving I can't go back Can't go back Can't go back I can't go
