In the lap of the gods

There was a time when all the gods Looked at men as their children Then they revealed the hidden mistery That even death coul be defeated One day we'll get to see others worlds beyond Where the sun is forever god of all stars We will proudly remember our lives on this earth But in those new skies we'll find another path And they prepared day after day Anxiously waiting for the trip Those who are called to eternity In a beautiful divine ship We'll be purified with the light of truth As we learned in the old book of the priests And although we know that the centuries will pass Men will remember that one day our souls were freed And our graves will be huge monuments That will forever preserve our essense The people will then write our history with pride In the lap of the gods in the lap of the gods
