When I was a child I saw shadows on the wall And silhouettes of mysterious sailboats floating in my room And fear took hold of me in those eternal nights Sometimes feeling rumors of swords and screams under the moon Shadows of pirates They were evil men who devastated all the seas And they came to the children's houses on stormy nights They had the power to take you to hell Or become a slave on their ships paying the price Now I'm older and I've overcome my fears Life has taught me to keep my feet on the ground But last night I woke up terrified and motionless Because cold hands sank into my chest and my mouth Shadows of pirates ​
