Coffee Shop Rant

Got a couple I grew up with I don't know them anymore Got a few I fell off with I don't call them anymore Some lovers turn strangers Some friends turn foes That's how this life goes I'm addicted to the past But I can't let it get me It's some chapters that you finish But you wanna read again It's some people that you lost That you wanna see again It's a freedom you deserve But you can't be free again Cuz you locked in the present And you only moving forward I been loosing touch with family I been loosing touch with friends Am I better off dead I had that thought in my head But that thought ain't last a minute I'm here for a reason It's my 25th season It's a blessing that I'm here I made it every single year Tough times don't last I keep on pushing till I win Health concerns got me anxious But I push them to the wind My brothers need a role model I'm steeping to the plate Pops told me cover for him I got him any day If it rains and it pours It's gon be a sunny day Many times that I was lost I still found my way Don't give up on yourself There's happiness out there Count your blessings by the penny It's gon add up very soon
