Struggling along, I'm forced to contend With constant reprobations; why-I just can't comprehend An emotional diffusion, stability I'm losing; pain and anger blend Just when I'm convinced I've got it all worked out... I'm proven wrong again And again Never understood your point and never gave a shit A realist, so I realize you're just a hypocrite You're resentful and begrudging, but I'm not budging That's no grounds for me to be apologetic My opinions have offended you, and I'm not sympathetic Sure, I could play the part if I thought it meant something But why would I even bother to pretend?
