Nightmare

I fell into a dream, or was it a nightmare? I'm running in place and watching the eyes stare The blackened grass, grabs hold of me feet My dress caught a branch and I fell to my knees It continued to tear, down a ranging path Fell into the mud, and I had me a laugh Just over the bend was a shadowed castle With a demon at the top but he's holding me captive There's nothing more I want to do Than sit here and wait for you There's nothing more I need to say I'll be here all night, and be up all day Fell into a nightmare, fell into a nightmare Fell into a nightmare, fell into a nightmare He's just out of reach, but I can't make a move He's fighting his way in, my mind is a tool Made my way out the darkness, into the forest I climbed to the top, and I waited at the fortress He invaded my thoughts, my dreams and my soul Blade drawn out but the queen never folds As the demon came near he began to kneel I'm beginning to think that my dreams are real There's nothing more I want to do Than sit here and wait for you There's nothing more I want to say Than get off my chest, and out of my way Fell into a nightmare, fell into a nightmare Fell into a nightmare, fell into a nightmare I awoke the next morning to a frightening site My mother made breakfast, that isn't right She said"A man's coming over that I want you to meet" She's been seeing him lately, if you know what I mean As the doorbell rang, she said"Go freshen up" Came back downstairs, couldn't believe what I saw It was the demon from my dream, and he was wearing a suit He had that look in his eyes, like he already knew There's nothing more I want to do Than sit here and wait for you There's nothing more I want to say Than get off my chest, and out of my way Fell into a nightmare, fell into a nightmare Fell into a nightmare, fell into a nightmare
