Dreamt that I could fly Thought she'd be impressed But she was terrified To see my feet above her head She was real and I was not She could deal but I had stopped Set a fire to the lot Just to burn the parts with rot She said: “If you still believe All you have to do is try Hit your marks and say your lines And everything will end up fine Then if you're on the ride And it all the sudden stops Can't blame the carnival For the ticket you haven't bought” Dreamt I had the space To roam around and search Woke up in mid air Falling back to earth She is real, I saw her move Away from me towards her truth I was stuck acting the fool When I wanted to be cool She said: “If you still believe That they'll take care of you And everything will be all right no matter what you do Then when you're on my side But you're all the sudden not Stop acting all surprised At the things that you haven't got”
