Lolita had a nice garage apartment upstairs Lolita lived a life without luxury there Lolita looked a lot like she'd never been free With the West Texas wind Always blowing in Through her drapery Lolita wore a wig and a jar of Mary Kay base Her tiny little eyes shining through Somebody else's face Downstairs was the local corner store called The Little Red Hen Where Hank always sat outside with his old tired friends Lolita'd give a show behind the shades every Saturday Night Her ballerina figure dancing in Manilla yellow light Every Monday morning Hank asked Lolita for a date Lolita'd always smile like Hank was just another day late Out here in West Texas we got little cherub-cheeked children They get silly blowing kisses till they're blowing little kisses in the wind All those little kisses grow golden wings and fly Up into the remolinos dancing in the Odessa sky And all those little kisses gotta land somewhere after a while 'Cause there's something in the West Texas wind making Lolita smile
