A Recollection of a Memory From the School Yard

It was a decembers day of great promises A blanket that could conceal the purity of earth or so much we thought We sang along to the hearts of children Rekindling old friendships we hadn't a clue strayed from us We sat around a campfire of voices sharing stories That truely intrigued us Good and tranquil No rain no heat no improperness Work was minimal as was the outside view of a collective conscious What we had known then was simply insignificant What we know now is nothing But we learned eventually We raced our minds around the track of congressional proposal Eyes not dilated but not set Nothing was set Yet we were one We knew that we didn't say a word that was said before How could we remember what we didn't do or say Just as simple as a tree waving goodbye to a lapse of dawn in a storm We squandered silence We had given up on sincerity Ignorant but in love Fond but playfully vile Canera had protected me from talking too much It could not have been more than a few weeks ago But I remember what I remembered then We uttered such phrases that could grow a man out of a coma but we knew it was love The passing eye would see it as violence against nature But as we face great strife at the hands of the incompetent There was nothing behind us Everything ahead We rode the road of diversion but sure had a blissful time traveling together We have disappeared off the face of the earth Looking for a new planet to conquer But that was the issue We had conquered all the planets And now we were all just looking for a way home Wording seems to be coming down and we are not speaking till there's more people around
