I cannot reach the foothills, Nor the summit I am living thru' stills For which I cannot plummet There's knowledge in the rivers From which we drink, Yet nobody delivers And there is no time to think Once I was a melody Once I was desire But time gave me fidelity Long past my fire I bid so long and farewell But to whom I'm not sure I've tried to contribute well But eventually I deplore I believe I am released.
