You Deserve Better

You are like the biggest flower I have ever seen So colorful and pretty I wish that I could be Even just a small percentage of the radiance you give If only for a moment I could say I really lived But I am just the storm cloud that resides above your sky Turning all the joy into sadness And I can't figure out why I have to go and ruin all the good things Darken every shade of blue All because I can't express the joy I feel when I'm with you I swear I don't mean to bring everybody down Rain down all of my misery Making everybody drown If there was anything I could say It would just be an excuse So I tell myself not to bother Cause I know it'd be no use I beg the wind to blow me far away from here Let the sun out so the whole world can see How brightly you shine my dear I sometimes wonder if I just let it all go and cry Empty every tear I have left So I evaporate and die But here I linger in the way of everything Deeply and truly sorry For all the pain I bring If there was something I would try the best I can But if there's one true thing in all of this Is that you deserve a far far better man
