Oh where to start? Right from the start The first time that I met her Something in me fell apart I never thought I would be this Never thought that it would be so dismissed Working all night, with her by my side People in my life try and tell me That I should walk away I'm no stranger to the judgement But I see her every day She's subtetly restrained With fire, kills the pain She gives herself to me So her light, I can retain But I digress... And must confess This may all be a way to light the high Of self-destructive thoughts inside She's nothing short of heroic So non-chalant and stoic Working all night, with her by my side Like a woman, she warms me Calms and informs me Every time that I see her, something in me falls apart
