I'm running at the speed of light Try to keep myself from taking flight Shoes so hot it melts the sole It's no time to be out of control The world around becomes a blur I think I see but I'm not real sure Don't know if I can ever slow down When my feet never touch the ground Taking off is serious Not to sound delirious But I'm feeling adventurous When I'm running at the speed of light Eyes will never see me Ears will never hear me Gravity can't hold on to me It's mass and relativity Albert said that light and speed Would stay the same and not exceed, but I'm feeling G's pressing on my face As my atoms start to detonate Albert had it going on In proving this phenomenon But there's one exception to the rule Nothing travels faster than bad news Just a pinch of angel dust Add a touch of wanderlust Making noise that's thunderous Running at the speed of light I'm faster than a speeding train Making tracks inside my brain My insatiable appetite Running at the speed of light Flying out and overseas Racing to the apogee Now there's nothing in front of me I'm running at the speed of light
