That endless summer, many years ago Down to California was the place I had to go I was young and pretty and out to have some fun It was party-time in the California sun That endless summer, skating on the strand On the boardwalk down in Venice with a doobie in my hand The young and pretty ones were not to be outdone Taking chances in the California sun That endless summer, the last thing I recall Was the fear and loathing just before the fall The young and pretty ones began to come undone And now we're hiding from the California sun
