what does it mean to be gone

What does it mean to be gone What does it mean when we're no longer here What will we hear when we're there Will flowers still have color, will birds still fly in the air Hard to imagine feeling nothing at all Hearing nothing but silence No shadows on the wall Then again I could be wrong There's no one I know who's come back from being gone So all bets are off cause nobody knows If we end up alone after we go What I do know for sure Is what's around me right now Feel,touch,see,taste Laugh,cry,be glad, be sad Light,dark,hot cold This is what's real, the here and now Drink it all in, don't wait too long It may not follow you after you're gone
