Kiddie Christmas

As I stare at the tree on this peaceful snowy night I can read the years on the ornaments in dim light My mind goes back in time to the Christmas of '95 Oh how I want it back, being a child and feeling alive But the child grew old and the night lost it's wonder That spirit of Christmas seemingly must have went under Each passing year I've tried to listen for the silver bell I just want to hear it ring to break this reminiscent spell I want kiddie Christmas again I don't want to sleep on this eve Why did the joy have to leave I want kiddie Christmas again But then the father above sent an answer to my prayer I was lucky enough to receive the angel he could spare A baby sent from high revealing the meaning of this day I won't ever let you go here with me in my heart you'll stay I love watching you gaze up at the angel on our tree Your eyes entranced with the beauty that you see But I don't stare at her anymore, I look to the angel that I hold And you've brought the magic back, no more Christmas's of cold It's kiddie Christmas again I can't fall asleep on this eve This year the joy won't to leave Because it's kiddie Christmas again As you grow old I want you to remember To please find a way to keep the magic of December Don't ever grow too old, don't ever lose the child And you'll have kiddie Christmas again You won't fall asleep on this eve I hope that the joy won't leave You'll have Christmas again
