i'm 18 now

I woke up I brushed my teeth and I went to school I passed the class but I knew nothing that they wanted me to learn Then I went home To learn on my own I woke up I got my suit and I went to work I did my job while I waited for the clock to strike six Then I went home To party with my friends 'Cause I'm 18 now and I'm feeling so great I'm going down the road to find out my name And being 18 makes me feel just okay And I'm wondering where I'll go next I woke up I walked outside through the green forest I saw the birds and I saw the sky while it looked so alive Then I went home Cause it all burned down I woke up I looked around at this empty world Thinking how to fill it with colors that no one has seen Maybe we could do that, but only if you helped me out But who said I needed help? 'Cause I'm 18 now and I'm feeling insane I'm going round my world for not all that fame And being 18 makes me feel just okay And I'm wondering where I'll go next I think I'll go west I'm 18 now and I'm locked down and feeling depressed 'Cause I cant pass my tests But no one really cares I was 14 then just a few years ago Working hard to get the dreams that I wanted true But no one round me really knew what I meant And I don't think I even knew too I woke up I traveled around Then I met you Then asked your name, your pronouns, and your language was Then I asked you "Would you like to speak it all night?" 'Cause I'm 18 now & I'm feeling so great Meeting someone new every day of the year And loving everyone who'd enter my life And I wonder where it will go Next
