Blocked

Where are the words that I just want to write? What am I staying up for every night? It's like the words have all been taken out of my mouth I thought it was so easy, now it's all gone south My mind is blocked They once were here but now I'm shocked They had to go and so I guess I know now what they mean when writer's block makes you feel low Words flow like the rivers down my street on every rainy day They call upon me to write them all down, but then they leave the page How can I get somewhere if nowhere always finds me? Thought that songs were easy, but writing's not too kind to me My mind is blocked They once were here but now I'm shocked They had to go and so I guess I know now what they mean when writer's block makes you feel low
