Randy works a nine to five He's done this his entire life His boss will have a word with him The picture has always been grim Randy now lives all alone His wife grew tired of their small home He never had much to impress her Now she's gone away forever Susan found another lover With more money than any other Her desires grew like a flower Above the trees with money and power Susan started growing old And needed special care Her husband wasn't really there He watched TV, sat in his chair Susan crawls herself upstairs And reaches for a pen Addressed the note to her old friend The last words she will ever send: ""I struck a match, threw it in the fire Climbed the ladder till I couldn't get higher Dug my own grave with a shovel at my feet And finally learned the difference Between love and greed""
