Unfinished Business

I lost my glasses and I can't find my keys That's the second pair this week Walking up my stairs it hurts my knees Won't mention how much it makes me wheeze I can remember when I felt so young Before the days turned into years I feel like I'm the setting sun My youthful days are done And memories are fading fast Don't know what I'll become So many dreams have faded into the grey Cause I'm the king of unfinished business My boys have grown up and they've flown the coop Broke up with their mum years ago Sitting alone in my living room Hoping that they'll visit one day soon I wish I'd been a better father then Maybe today they'd be my friends I wish that I could turn back time So I could tow a different line Be the man I dreamt of Way back when I was nine But now I'm just an old and grumpy man And I'm the king of unfinished business I still recall the days when I was sure I could climb any mountain And put my feet and flag upon the peak Wooooh the devastating sands of time Erode your youth turning you weak I'm in my twilight years I accept my fate Don't know if I'll go through those gates I hold no grudges I hope they'll say the same When they read my tributes over my grave I did my best I thought at the time I leave my judgement to the Devine I'm living in my final days Life passed me by so fast I'm in a daze All I'm left with are brief memories through the haze Made my peace in every way I'm not afraid if I should die today Left my mark on this world And that's all I can say I lost my glasses and I can't find my keys Cause I'm the king of unfinished...
