david clements olga & john şarkı sözleri

Olga and John got married out the back of the Grandview John wore his best jeans And Olga her very best smile The celebrant got it done quick Just as they'd requested Soon the bar was congested With revellers who'd travelled for miles John had saved up five hundred To put on the bar tab Wished it could have been more But money was tight Five hundred can go a long way Drinking in the right places They all got off their faces And danced through the January night First couple of years were tough Just like they should be Nothing comes easy Unless it's not worth very much John got a job driving trucks Between Seymour and Sydney Transporting machinery Engines and car parts and such Olga kept up her shifts At the furniture factory Not much of a job But there wasn't that many around Soon they'd saved up enough For a decent deposit On a three-bedroom brick veneer Just on the outside of town Before they knew it The four kids appeared in a hurry They all came in a flurry Seemed they were lucky in love First came Suzanne Then Sarah, then Stephen, then Sadie She was a difficult baby So Olga said four was enough John was working long hours In the Hume Highway traffic Olga was working much harder With four kids at home Sometimes it all got too much But they kept it together At the end of their tether They knew they were never alone Kids got through school Steve went to Melbourne for uni And with his generic arts degree Got a government job with good pay Sue married a tradie They're building a big house near Hilldene Sare's teaching grade three And Sadie's still finding her way Olga and John love being at home With the grandkids Seven already and number eight Due any day Who would have thought At that wedding out back of the Grand View That such luck would come through All good things going their way
