Heatwave

I always knew I wanted to line up and ride I knew I'd rather risk it all out in the sunlight Than waste one day trying to prevent the inevitable end Hiding in a patch of shade waiting for that sun to set And as the tide begins to rise I realize There has never been such thing as the right place or the right time To clear my head or head back into the universe Far from perfect as it is, I'm sure it could be much worse Melting like a snowman who got no say in what he was made out of Trying to enjoy it though it's hard to have fun when it is so hot It's hot So hot And everywhere I find myself someone was once lost I find it hard to believe that what lays before me isn't just another mirage We'll be ok if we stay balanced and we behave We will escape on the vision bending, sweat bead vending, smokin' heatwave Melting like the snowmen who got no say in what they were made out of Trying to enjoy it though it's hard to have fun when the pressure's on It's hot And on So hot It's on
