Look to the sky In wonder and awe Breath stale air That we've come to know so well A laugh echoed out to mix with a cry For most the lips froze shut to mimic the mind And now It will become clear The shepherd left us on a meadow dry and brown A frenzied mass is born as the sky comes crashing down Your mask means nothing now I beg to see beneath A coward in past light In shadow show glistening teeth Take shelter This sickness Is shifting everything to grey Our world You know will not be the same I know it Is hard to See past the clouds To the stars and moon Believe These words We need a prophet Not a martyr to get through This ship's going down We took it too far But you cannot complain You only cried out once it left a scar We are only a moment For worse or for better Blooming into the light Changing earth into ash And left to wither
