When I Think About the Lord

When I think about the LORD How he saved me How he healed me How he filled me How he turned around me and then gave me a new life and led me This is the reason the life that I give And I'm bringing him praise in all that I live I'm thanking and lifting and giving him glory in all that I do What else can I do It makes me wanna shout Hallelujah Thank you Jesus LORD you're worthy Of all of the glory And all of the honor and all of the praise The reason that I got a smile on my face The reason I get up keep goin this pace The reason I love It's because you hold me in this place Not even while ago Man I was drinkin and smokin And partying it up And I was telling myself that the years won't come back So I gotta enjoy it so I won't regret it I'll admit I was addicted The moments of pleasure Had gotten me blinded Still went to church every Sunday I thought I was fine Wasted Saturday night Then hungover I was worshipping God With the same mouth that rejected him yesterday night Then God told me I wasn't fine but My soul is in danger I wagered my life To follow him I gotta take up my cross And then realize that all thing is loss James chapter 4 verse 4 Friend with the world equals hate towards my God So I'm gonna give him man all that I got It's not me it's him he saved me 2 years sober he gave me a new life and raised me How I did it I don't know one thing I'm sure is that definitely ain't me I couldn't do it but he made me he loved me And saw me when I was weak and he wanted me To follow him so that's what I'll do Everyday is a struggle But I know I can Cuz its no longer I who do it but the spirit that dwells in my soul He knocks on my door and refreshes my soul When I think about the Lord How he saved me Raised me Filled me With the Holy Ghost Show me the path in my lost And paid the full cost for my soul When I think about the LORD How he saved me How he healed me How he filled me How he turned around me and then gave me a new life and led me This is the reason the life that I give And I'm bringing him praise in all that I live I'm thanking and lifting and giving him glory in all that I do What else can I do It makes me wanna shout Hallelujah Thank you Jesus LORD you're worthy Of all of the glory And all of the honor and all of the praise The reason that I got a smile on my face The reason I get up keep goin this pace The reason I love It's because you hold me in this place
