If He hadn't come there'd be no Christmas day There'd be no Golden Rule to guide our way With AD and BC time vanished away If He hadn't come there'd be no Christmas Day If He hadn't come no Christmas songs sung There'd be no presents or ornaments hung No Holiday Season as we know it If He hadn't come no Christmas lights lit If He hadn't come our life would be bare No Christian values and less love to share It's hard to know what our lives would have been If He hadn't come to teach about sin If He hadn't come our sin would remain There'd be no savior with kingdom to reign No teachings of John or Peter and Paul If He hadn't come no Christmas at all If He hadn't come there'd be no Christmas cheer As we remember his birth this time of year With gifts for each other, love and much play If He hadn't come there'd be no Christmas Day
