A ROAD OR TWO

I've been down a road or two I've seen what this life can do and all the hell that love can put you through Had my share of broken dreams paid my dues and seen crazy things I can't even explain to myself One day walking with the lord next day passed out on the floor Recovering from the night I had before Met a Memphis bell in Tennessee all she wanted was to be with me I was too busy with my ego and raising hell Now life's gone by and I've been blessed lord only knows what I've got left But I'm still taking chances and placing bets Looking back at what I've done there was battles I could have won You say I make bad choices well I'd agree There's nothing left for me in the past except lessons learned That I had to have to get me to where I'm at And where I'm gonna be So when troubles arise in your own life don't take them to heart Take them in stride and know hard times come but they surely leave I've been down a road or two man I've seen what this life can do And all the hell that love can put you through
