The Somber Hell of Ishmael

Ishmael looks out onto an unresting sea A trail of darkened blood ebbing out from his bare feet He looks down at his shattered watch and yet he still knows it's time Lighting strikes the forward mast The crew's washed out, the tide has passed A great white mass moves into the sky The captain's ready to die Ishmael listens for a sign from the waves Left with the somber knowledge a sole man remains Around him, remains of a vessel once steadfast and strong A necklace cast into the sea Pride, the captain's enemy All washed away, Ishmael knows Hell's not a place down below
