Self Reflection

Look at me Staring back through broken glass But what I see Is not the person I should be Look away That old me is gone to stay But that's okay The time has come for me to go And find my way And even though my life is cold and gray The sun comes out and it's a brand new day It's time to spread my wings and fly away Here I go I walk along this broken path Breathing slow Aiming high but feeling low Breaking down Disillusioned thoughts surround I hear the sound Of all the people I've let down But it's my time I'll break away and let my colors shine And on that long-lost day the stars align I'm reaching out so I can take what's mine Oh, well all my life All I wanted was to be just right And on that final day I see the light I'll learn the reason for my toil and strife I tried to tell you that I'm on my way I told the mirror man I just can't stay I think about it every night and day But now I've got to let the music play
