Ode to Siesta Key

Just off the plane and out the van There is nothing I have planned But drink the cocktail I just made And swell in tandem with the waves Day one of family fun has just begun A bear claw to start the day Gas station coffee here tastes great Reserve a place that's in the shade Thanks for the effort that it takes Soft white sand under my feet No beach beats Siesta key Day two has come and gone We're ready for another one Drinking gin through midnight hours With family gathered on the couches Sun forecasted the next day With a dark and stormy on the way Day three I can't believe it's almost time to pack and leave From the sun we'll take a break For the best clam chowder in the states Eating oysters is a dream With a team that means so much to me French fry fingers nipped in beaks Before the sunset on the beach Tomorrow we leave Awaiting the next siesta key retreat
