Constellations

I feel most at home out among the waves alone Open water darker than the soul I own Liminal twilight; the truth rises to become known As revelations swell and crescendo Never coming home Black tides swallow me whole The endless sea comforts me Poseidon, take my bones Leave me be I have found peace in the depths below Keep my name on the tip of your tongue And let the waves shoulder the weight of my memory Should you ever recall my name again I hope it warrants no further thought Just let me fade away I am not who I used to be I am gone And in the glow of the distant fading lights of the dead and dying stars I was reminded that all we really are.
