It's time to evolve beyond these prehistoric precepts carved in stone Decisions to be made seem to ignore best interest in favor of How someone said it should be before anyone we ever knew Even walked this earth and could never even fathom now Time doesn't stand still yet actions seem to contradict that Consider the consequence and perhaps rethink that thought Then include examinations of our world Clarity won't be a simple concept brought to light But through effort actualization may occur The village is dying, the water supply is poison Been told it's the only water they may drink Over and over for generations but right through the woods Just steps off the main path a spring bubbles with freshness If only they'd stray
