The Vast And The Meaningless

Why? After all that was said and done Now we shall bow to no one Enlightenment we have reached But I wonder Why the void still haunts my soul? Was this an empty victory? Why am I not free? Doom we brought upon the realm By the will of the unseen one The gaze of the sightless eye! So great And yet so void As we trod on The conundrum of existence So sparse And so devoid As we are consumed By the vast and the meaningless As time marches On! To relinquish the mortal form To ascend my soul, be reborn Only the strong shall abandon flesh Now at last it is Time to leave the mortal sphere For so long I have toiled on Now I must break free This is my final stand I can see the black flame Calling, plunge into the void! Break the seal! Twist your mind! Tear your flesh! Become a greater god! Burn your soul! Embrace the flame! Let all go! Burn into the Void! The all consuming darkness Twisting Tearing At my very sanity I call upon the primordial fire to banish thee! This is the moment I will be reborn!
